BREAD AND PASTA CLASSES We've
yet to meet a child who didn't love cooking and yet to meet a parent who didn't
love watching their children's delight as they cook. That's why we enjoy running
our Family Bread & Pasta Days so much. To
a child cooking is just about the closest thing to magic. You take some simple,
not terribly exciting ingredients, mix them together and, hey presto! you have
ballooning bread or incredibly elastic pasta. This is science with added fun,
artistry with added flavour and not only that but you get lovely and messy and
make something delicious to eat at the end. During
the day we'll make fresh dough and turn it into some beautiful loaves. Then we'll
we make hand made, fresh pasta to turn into ravioli, and tagliatelle. We may even
make Gniocchi. We'll create delicious sauces and have a luverly bowl or two of
pasta for lunch. FAMILY
MEDITERRANEAN We
love getting out on the deck, lighting the woodfired oven and the barbecue, then
rustling up pitta breads, hummus, bowls of lovely fresh salads, skewering kebabs,
rolling koftas, grilling fish and baking desserts. Mediterranean Food is wonderfully
entertaining and great fun to do with the family. In our Family Mediterranean
classes the kids take centre stage but the adults will also pick up a load of
top tips to take home. We'll
teach loads of skills and techniques and make sure it's safe a great fun at the
same time. Family Mediteranean classes will be on the menu throughout the summer
so check out the diary. FAMILY
BAKING CLASSES Baking
cakes, cookies, sticky buns and choccy puddings will always be popular with children.
Our occasional Family Baking classes will give kids the oppoprtunity to get stuck
into the mixing bowl and create a range of tea time treats to take home.
These
days are for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and god-parents to bring along
one or more children. The kids get to do as much of the preparation and cooking
as they like with parents and instructors helping where necessary. No experience
on the part of either adults or children is necessary. Suitable for children aged
8 - 15 Each
course is limited to 6 places to allow for maximum participation. 1 Adult + 1
child £90. Additional children £40 each. Workshops start at 10:00
and finish around 4:00 Private
Family Groups can also book a workshop; we'll find a mutually convenient date
and agree a price depending on your requirements.
