Like most people we do accumulate a lot of stuff and in our case most of it to do with cooking. Over the years of cooking with our woodfired ovens, the associated clobber has grown around us so we’ve taken the time we’ve had lately to see what we really use and are now passing on that which we don’t to those of you in other woodfired homes.

The kit is either used and still in good nick or brand new so it’s too good to go to the tip; if you can put it to good use, we’d love to think of it being used and loved rather than sitting in our storeroom.

Morso Table

Before you get too excited, we’re selling just the Morso table; not the Forno or the axe or the wood and sadly not the vineyard! However it’s still a very useful table.

It’s black and made of powder coated steel with stainless steel handles; it’s on wheels so you can move it around and it has brakes so it stops moving around. It’s 120cm long, 60cm wide and 80cm high.

If like us, you always need a bit more surface to work on in your outdoor kitchen, this is perfect – plenty of space on top and storage underneath too. Not just for Morso ovens; it works just fine with other woodfired ovens too!

We have used it but it’s always been kept under cover so is still in good condition. New this would be £599 and we’re selling it at £175.

Large White Casserole Dish

This is a great family casserole dish for slow-cooking and pot-roasts – think of all those lovely autumn stews, fantastic bean dishes and comforting braises. We’ve mainly used it for baking bread as in this video.

The dish is used but there are no chips or cracks; it is 25cm in diameter and 12cm deep. This was £40 new so we’re selling it at £15 plus shipping. Click here to buy.

Small Orange Casserole Dish

Another great casserole dish – also good for gratins and small pot roasts; as above we’ve mainly just used it for baking bread.

Holey Grill Pan with Wooden Handle

Unused holey pan with a fold up handle – perfect for grilling vegetables as in last week’s video. Also good for roasting chestnuts. 31cm from rim to rim. Cast iron plate

Griddle Plate

Metal griddle plate 49cm long and 27cm wide – excellent for cooking several things at once, all your sausages; several lamb chops; a melange of peppers, aubergines and courgettes….. It’s been used so £20 plus shipping. Click here to buy.

Metal Tray

A very sturdy metal tray that came with our Alfa oven but has never been used as we have so many others!

40cm long, 30cm wide and 3cm deep, it’s great for roasting, baking, sauteéing, resting and lots more.

Large Aluminium Tray

Large aluminium trays – we have 4 of these to get rid of (we have 6 and no-one actually needs that many). We use our trays mainly as sturdy carriers for ingredients for pizzas or any other cooking we’re doing, only as they won’t get through the oven door. We have smaller ones which we are keeping – they have been used in the woodfired ovens and they are fantastic. Calzone Press

A large plastic calzone press meaning you get consistent results every time – 28cm across, you just roll out your dough to fit the press, lay it on top and fill with your favourite flavourings before clamping shut and baking (the calzone, not the plastic press!). Blue Cast Iron Griddle Pan

A good sturdy cast iron griddle pan, blue on the outside; 25cm in diameter. Perfect for getting those fabulous griddle lines on anything you want to grill – steaks, veggie slices, halloumi.

Large Cast Iron Skillet

Super solid cast iron frying pan/skillet 30cm wide and made by Wagners in America. If you’ve been on our woodfired courses lately, you may have seen it used for our tarte tatin but obviously you can use it for anything. Small Oval Cast Iron Pan

Another well-loved cast iron pan, we generally use it for blackening aubergines but useful for anything. Always handy to have a couple of small pans in your arsenal and if you’re on your own, this will fit a fabulous steak just nicely. Obviously this one’s used, but a sturdy mild steel grate that fits into our small Bushman refractory oven – or similar. 48cm along the straight edge and curved to fit the round of the oven. Fantastic for lifting up your wood and really letting the oxygen reach the fire.

This one’s been used too as you can seen but still up for the job and slightly quirky, really one of a kind! Fits our medium Bushman oven – or similar.
